Tov Wellness

Corrective Exercise Program

Hello!

My name is Alexa Boehler. I am a university trained exercise scientist and am completely fascinated with the anatomy, physiology, and magnificent design of the human body. I am passionate about serving women in pregnancy, birth, postpartum and beyond. I believe in a natural holistic approach to wellness, and want to help people move the way God designed so they can be fit for their purpose in life.

I am Max’s wife and a mom to three little girls: Lark, and twins, Ethel and Blythe. I’m a creative entrepreneur at heart and love singing, songwriting, crocheting, and dreaming about and working toward our goal to have a homestead raising elderberry and emu.

What is Tov?

Tov is an almost ludicrously small but infinitely expansive Hebrew word. You may be vaguely familiar with the common translation of tov meaning good. However, at its core, it’s arguably one of the richest words out there and the explosive power in tov can be felt right from the beginning. Tov first arrives on the scene in the creation story—the first story detailed in the Bible. It’s the word God uses to describe what he sees after completing various acts of creation. God's use of tov in Day 3 of creation does a spectacular job of unveiling for us what tov is.

And God said, “Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth.” And it was so. The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

Genesis 1:11‭-‬12 ESV

In these two verses, there is a beautiful progression of movement: God calls forth the seeds he has embedded in creation, creation brings forth those seeds with the seeds of future life in them, and God sees the process as tov. The Hebrew word tov does not merely mean good. It means capable of, presently engaged in the process of, and destined for, completely fulfilling the Divine purpose for which it was created. Tov means functional - working as it was designed.

Mission

The mission of TOV Wellness is to help people have functional movement as it was designed and to become healthy and whole, fit for life’s purpose.
